Pig Tails!

Mimi gave August her first pig tails! She is too cute for her own good! I love the little curls.

She Dresses Herself...Kinda

August is learning how to put her own clothes on. One problem is that this is as far as she can pull up her pants...and she grunts to get them this far. Her other problem is that she doesn't quite get the concept of a shirt. She puts everything on her feet.

Splish, Splash

August loves bathtime! She loves to make a mess. She is learning how to wash her own face and hair. Then when she gets out she has to help put on lotion. I learned tonigt that pretending to put lotion on her hand doesn't work. She got mad that I didn't really put it in her hand.

Cooking with Mommy

I put August on the counter last night while I was fixing supper with an empty bowl and spoon. She was having a big time. Travis comes into the kitchen and puts flour in her bowl! What a mess but she loved it. She was slopping it everywhere. Then we put her hands in it and some on her face. She didn't like that too much. She wanted it off...now.

We had spagetti for supper, which she loves. She had two big bowls. She kept asking for "moore." (She really drags out the o.) If you look close at the bottom picture, you can see a noodle stuck to her nose! She was a m-e-s-s.

Welcome Baby Jack!

My cousin Kathy, her husband Wain, and their son Alex welcomed into the world Jack Byron December 26 at 10:29 pm. Jack was 11 days early and is now in NICU at St. Mary's in Evansville. He, like his older brother, was born too early and needed extra care for lung development. Click the link below to see pictures of Jack and his family.

Jack is Kathy's dad's middle name. Byron is Kathy's grandpa's (and my grandpa's) middle name. All the great-grandkids in our family are being named after someone. I love traditions!

Christmas Day

August loved opening her presents this year. She loves her new sunglasses and her Mr. Potato Head.

August loves her new tricycle she got from Amy and Rylan. She is not quite long enough yet to reach the pedals. I know she will have a blast this summer!
